Christina Linder: I have lived with dogs all my life, my family had a smaller breeding of GSP and Eng.cocker spaniel. Started working with dogs in the show ring and in obedience before I started with dogs in the Nordic style. Have trained and competed with dogs since I was 8-years-old. And when my parents bought my first sled I knew what I wanted to do. I raced my first Vindelälvdrag when I was 11 years old. The winter time my father and I travelled in Sweden and Norway and competed almost every weekend. It’s thanks to my parents that I could continue with this hobby, without them it wouldn’t work, they have really been there for me and helped me.

I also like to take photos but the time doesn’t reach for everything. I’m a beginner and I’m learning. My favourite objects is animals and nature.

I started working for a tourist company in Kiruna with sleddog tours and fishing. It’s a special feeling to stand on the sled with the dogs working in front of you, I can’t describe it. The contact between the musher and the dogs is something you have to try to understand. Dogs is my life and I will always have them around me. All our free time i spend with the dogs, it’s a lot of work but it is something I love and I get so much back from the dogs.

Live now together with Niklas (www.dirlandsleddogs.com) and we train and take care of the dogs, also Anna a close friend to me has a part in the dogs and we hope to get good dogs both for sleddog and nordic style.

Now I’m working for the mining industry, a business called MTAB. And it’s a job that works very well with my hobby to train and compete on a high level.
